Sarah Kappel
Sarah has a Bachelor degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from Monash University and a Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology from The University of Sydney. Sarah has over a decade of experience working as a speech pathologist with young children on their communication skills, play, and social skills, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and providing education and support to families and childcare educators.
Sarah is an enthusiastic speech pathologist who believes that creating a fun and engaging therapy experience tailored to each child’s individual character, best supports them to reach their potential.
With over a decade of experience assessing and providing speech therapy to young children predominantly aged 0 – 6 years, Sarah has a keen interest in early language development, speech sound production, articulation and phonology, and preparing children and families for the big step of starting school.
Sarah has abundant experience in the childcare space, providing training to families and educators on a variety of communication-related topics and practical strategies to support communication development across environments. Sarah has further training in supporting children with Selective Mutism and ADHD and believes in the importance of collaborating with family members, caregivers, educators, and other health professionals, to empower a child’s communication skills across all areas of life.
