Information for families

Please bring any available previous growth records for your child (including baby book/green or blue book/home measurements), as well as parental heights with you for your first review.

Information for referrers

Bone age images (X-ray of the left wrist and hand) are required within the 12 months prior to review for all patients with linear growth and/or puberty concerns.

Updated thyroid function (within 2 weeks of appointment) is required for all patients with concerns about thyroid function.

To maximise eligibility for Medicare rebates we advise patients to bring a GP referral with them even when the referral was initiated by a specialist. This is not required to make the appointment but is advised to be brought to the first appointment.

Please note Elizabeth only sees patients with confirmed Diabetes in the public system. Elizabeth does not prescribe “private” growth hormone outside of the approved PBS indications, or puberty blockers for adolescents.
