Dr Carly Debinski

Carly completed her medical degree at Monash University in 2011. She undertook her pediatric training in Melbourne, working across many different hospitals. She completed her specialist training in Paediatric Neurology at both Monash Children’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital and has gained further sub-specialty experience working in the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Mental Health, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Neurogenetics.

Carly continues to work as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Monash Children’s Hospital and Box Hill Hospital and is actively involved in teaching and examining medical students and pediatric doctors in training.

Carly is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and Australian New Zealand Child Neurology Society and has been a past member of the Monash Children’s Clinical Ethics Response Group.

Carly enjoys seeing children of all ages with a broad range of neurological conditions including but not limited to headaches and migraine, epilepsy, developmental delay, and neurogenetic disorders.

Carly recognizes the challenges associated with both living with and caring for a child with a neurological disorder and remains committed to supporting and educating families along this journey. She believes it is important that families feel empowered to ask questions and gain an in-depth understanding of their child’s neurological issues, whether chronic or self-limiting. She is also strongly committed to working collaboratively with other health professionals whilst maintaining a holistic approach and an open mind to patient care
