Dr Raffaela Armiento
Raffaela is a general paediatrician who cares for children of all ages with a range of acute and chronic conditions. Her particular interests are newborn and infant health, sleep difficulties, growth and feeding issues and toileting problems including constipation. Raffaela’s practice also focuses on managing common childhood conditions such as asthma, eczema and allergies, as well as developmental and behavioural difficulties.
Raffaela is passionate about working together with children and their families to find holistic solutions that work for them.
As well as working at Caring for Kids, Raffaela holds a public appointment at Werribee Mercy Hospital, where she works in the Special Care Nursery, Paediatric ward and clinic. Raffaela graduated from Monash University with honours and completed most of her specialist paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital. She completed a Graduate Certificate of Clinical Education at the University of Melbourne and has a strong interest in the education of medical students and paediatric trainees. She has worked as a consultant in hospital systems and quality improvement at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Raff enjoys being active, mostly by chasing after her three young children.
