Hannah Kamara
Hannah Kamara is a qualified and licensed Mental Health Board Certified and Registered Art Therapist (AThR). Hannah has 20 years’ teaching experience, working in mainstream and Special Education Needs schools. She is a practicing artist working with sculpture and painting. She facilitates Personal Development (PD) within schools.
Hannah uses a person centered, reflective and strength-based programme. The programmes demonstrate a clear understanding of different theoretical and psychological framework base in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) whilst using a creative and therapeutic approach. Using different frameworks allows Hannah to work across clinical, community and educational settings.
Hannah has 5 years’ experience working within acute mental health. She has worked extensively with children on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within schools and in private practice.
Hannah aspires to offer high-quality support to clients to assist them to express their feelings and confront difficult emotions by using a variety of tools; most importantly she shows an understanding based on her working life experiences that enable her to provide compassion and empathy which underlines and drives her therapeutic practice.
