Since completing her Masters in 2015, Lia has worked in a variety of settings, including clinic-based, community-based, and overseas. Lia enjoys being a problem solver, working closely with families, and also has a particular interest in PLAY – play being a child’s natural ‘occupation’, biggest motivator and essential for development! Lia has completed additional training in play-based approaches including Learn To Play (2019) and DIR Floortime (2021), as well as CO-OP approach, a cognitive approach to motor learning.
Lia supports children and families with a wide range of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, genetic conditions, Down Syndrome, neurological conditions, Autism (ASD), ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia/Dysgraphia/Dyscalculia), Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Delays, sensory differences, complex trauma, and more.
Lia accepts referrals for a variety of conditions and concerns, including: self-care and independence goals, sensory challenges, emotional regulation, motor delay, learning difficulties and more. Outside of her work life, Lia loves to hike, travel, play basketball and piano, and is always searching for a cute new restaurant or cafe to enjoy.
